MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd was awarded with the detailed engineering design work for the PS4 Topsides Upgrade Project which is being developed by Qatar Petroleum to upgrade the gas production and handling capacity of the PS4 platform located in the North Field offshore Qatar.

MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd was awarded with the detailed engineering design work for the PS4 Topsides Upgrade Project which is being developed by Qatar Petroleum to upgrade the gas production and handling capacity of the PS4 platform located in the North Field offshore Qatar. The current net export gas capacity is 720 MMscfd of export gas. The project will increase the capacity to 950 MMscfd of export gas. The project development consists of upgrading the following processing facilities:

1. Gas/liquid separation (3 phase).
2. Gas dehydration and conditioning.
3. Gas compression.
4. Seawater pumps.
5. Seawater exchangers.
6. Seawater filter.
7. Flare tip assembly.
8. Instrumentation.
9. Electrical power supply.
10. Utilities to operate PS-4 processing facilities.

The PS-4 platform comprises of the following:
Riser Treatment Platform, Utilities Platform, Flare Platform, Wellhead Platform, Common Inlet Facilities, Process Train, Gas Processing, Liquid Processing, Common Export Facilities, Utilities, Electrical Power and Instrumentation & Control
