MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMCOG) has attended the Albukhary Career Prep Day on the 31st October 2015 at the Istana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The event has been conducted by Albukhary Scholarship Programme (ASP).

MMCOG’s representatives from HR conducted the sessions for talent corporation briefing session, career exhibition (booth) as well as interview sessions with the scholarship holders. The event which lasted one day from 8:00am to 6:00pm was attended by more than 60 attendees from several universities and institutions.

The Albukhary Scholarship Programme is premised on the belief that a good tertiary education is central to leadership development. In 2005, the programme, valued at RM 3 million a year, was launched with full scholarships awarded to top performing high school students. Potential students are subject to a rigorous selection criteria.

To date, the programme supports 520 students from 43 countries from far east of the Philippines to the west of Guyana, who are studying in 17 different universities in Malaysia. Meanwhile, 357 Albukhary Scholars from the first batch have returned to respective homelands and serve their community. Collectively, they form an international community of undergraduate, 90 per cent of whom are Muslims and the rest non-Muslims.
