Project Details
The centre of Block SK408 is located approximately 250km North West of Bintulu, Sarawak, and covers an area of 4,480 km2 with water depths ranging from 70m to 115m. Under an agreement, SapuraOMV will develop and operate SK408W and SSB will develop and operate SK408E.
Figure 1: Location of SK408 gas field
Jerun gas field lies in SK408W Block and is located approximately 250km from PLC, Bintulu in a water depth of 87m. Produced gas and condensate will be dehydrated and metered on JRN-A. Condensate will be spiked into the Jerun gas stream for comingled export to shore using a new export pipeline which is routed towards the existing E11R-B platform, currently operated by SK Gas. In later years (Phase 2), a new Compression Platform (JRN-K) shall be bridge linked to the JRN-A CPP to sustain production and reservoir management.
In summary, the Jerun Development project can be categorized into 2 phases:
Phase 1 |
Jerun A (JRN-A) Platform CPP (including space provision for future MRU systems) with a 30” x 80 km (approximately) Carbon Steel pipeline connected to host tie-in facility at E11R-B. |
Phase 2 |
Jerun K (JRN-K) Compression Platform bridge linked to JRN-A, including space provision for future AGR System. |
Jerun Development project comprise of:
a) Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Transportation and Installation, Hook-up and Commissioning (EPCIC CONTRACTOR – the T&I for JRN-A Topside and E11R-B brownfield modifications only) of fixed offshore facilities for Jerun Phase 1 Development Project, which include Integrated wellhead deck & JRN-A CPP Topside and Substructure.
b) 30” x 80 km approximately export pipeline including risers from JRN-A to E11R-B Host Tie-In Platform (HTI).
c) Front End Engineering Design Further Development (FEED-FD) of Jerun Phase 2 which include JRN-K Topside (MSF, Compressor Modules, AGR and Permeate Compressor(s) Module and GTG Module), Substructure and Bridge.
MMCOG was engaged as Engineering Subcontractor to undertake Detailed Engineering Design for JRN-A CPP Platform and Host Tie-In at E11R-B and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for JRN-K Platform.
