Project Details
NEWFIELD as Operator is developing Block PM323 offshore Peninsular Malaysia. The block partners are NEWFIELD and CARIGALI, via a 60:40 joint venture PSC agreement.
Two fields are identified within this block (i.e. East Belumut and Chermingat). FEED engineering has been performed to obtain the most optimized drilling/production facilities to tap the reserves from these two fields. The development fields are located at Peninsular Malaysia offshore block PM323 in approximately 65–75m of water. The Chermingat Field is located approximately 20 km North of the East Belumut Field. The platform shall be designed to a 20-year design life. The schedule for first oil from Chermingat field is on or before 04 February 2008.
NEWFIELD MALAYSIA has invited several EPCC Contractors to develop Chermigat Jacket & Topsides. OILFAB Sdn Bhd has been awarded to develop the Chermingat Platform and they have invited MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd as their Detailed Design Consultant. MMC Oil & Gas will provide design engineering services, project management, technical coordination, secretarial, cost control services and provision of experienced personnel to perform the required services.
